By default, SonicWall logs traffic in local time based on the timezone the SonicWall Firewall is in. If your Fastvue Reporter server is in a different timezone to your SonicWall, you may notice some peculiar issues in your reports, such as the past 15 minutes charts showing much more information than they should, or no information at all.
To resolve these issues, all you need to do is configure SonicWall to log in UTC time. Fastvue Reporter will convert the UTC timestamps and display traffic, such as the past 15 minutes, accurately.
To do this:
1. Log into the SonicWALL security appliance, and click System | Time.
2. Check the 'Display UTC in logs (instead of local time)' checkbox and click Accept
Restart the Fastvue Reporter for SonicWall service to clear the existing information in your Dashboards and Alerts. They will start re-populating with the new information coming in with the UTC timestamps.
