Slow reporting

Patrick Lizotte Jan 24, 2018 10:53AM PST

Is there a way to accelerate reports generation because right now i only have data for 3 days and it's taking too long for reports generation and it's getting worst everyday ?

Hello,

The best way to ensure you're getting the best performance from Fastvue Reporter is to ensure that the server you are running Fastvue Reporter on meets our recommended specifications based on the size of your network listed at https://www.fastvue.co/sonicwall/getting-started under *RAM / CPU Requirements*.

If you believe there is an issue with the report generation process causing it to run unnecessarily slow, then please set the diagnostic logging level to *Verbose* logging mode in *Settings | Diagnostic*, then run your report again, then collect the diagnostic log from the location displayed under *Diagnostic Log Location* in *Settings | Diagnostic* and compress and upload it to us at https://www.fastvue.co/upload. The log should include some diagnostic information to help us troubleshoot this for you.

Regards,
Luke

Hi Gene,

Yes you can upload your diagnostic log for any of our products to https://www.fastvue.co/upload and we will investigate and get back to you as soon as we can.

I'd also like to add to this thread that we're currently working on improving report speed with a new data storage and analysis engine. We expect this to be available mid-2018.

Cheers!
Scott
